ONE DAY TOUR

Went to Malacca for one day tour with the RC people...

6.15am gather at the coffee shop, bus left about 6.45am due to waiting for late comers.

Very smoothly, no traffic jam at Causeway. Came to Johor Bahru, stop for breakfast at Taman Sentosa. One of the old coffee shop there, they sell lots of food.

Along the way, was entertained by some Taiwanese Hokkien TV program.

About halfway, stop for toilet break. Almost 12noon, we reach Malacca. Head straight for their well-known Baba & Nyonya style, spicy cooking which normally gets served with rich coconut milk. Wow, every dish are hot stuff, Chicken with chilies, Prawn with chilies, Vegetable with chilies and many more... Nice food.. but I still like the cold cendol best.

"Chicken Rice Ball" is another Malacca creation, where the rice is blended and shaped into balls the size of table tennis balls, which in Singapore also have but not as popular.

Another very interesting scene you'll see in Malacca is their Trishaw. They decorate their Trishaw with artificial flowers on the umbrella and their seats.

We visited the Bee Farm. They rare these bees for honey and other products, like medical oil, cream...

The Malacca Fort build in 1511 by the Portuguese also known as A Famosa

We didn't manage to visit the St Paul Church which is just above the hill.

On top of St. Paul's Hill is the St. Paul's Church, once the prayer house of the Portuguese Catholics, then turned into burial ground for their noble dead by the Dutch

The Stadthuys (1650) was the official residence of the Dutch Governor. Nearby, one will also find the Christ Church built in 1753, another fine example of the Dutch architecture.

After all the sight seeing of place of interest, it's shopping time!!!

We stop at the 4 storey shopping centre call "Mahkota Parade". After all the shopping and buying, it's about 5.30pm and we went back to the coach.

Nearing dinner time, we all looked forward to that. Reach a town call "Yong Peng" and have our 10 course Chinese Dinner.
