Reunion

Yesterday evening COLA came back.

The minute him stepped into the house, he went to PEPSI and smell her back...

I think PEPSI have mixed feelings, she must be very happy to see COLA but in the other hand, she also irritated by him keep wanting to go near her.

COLA stayed in my mother's house for 16 days, his furr became so brown (due to dust) and his eyes is covered with red veins (due to lack of sleep) and lost weight too... I think he didn't enjoy his stay there (due to always been leash).

When he reach home, I don't care how late it was, I just catch him for a good shower.

He's now nice and clean.

It's good to have him back...

Something Special

Today is a HOT day but I still go out because I've promise my little niece that I'll bring her out to Centerpoint Shopping Centre at Orchard Road for a Disney makeover!

It's all thanks to my colleague, she happened to purchased something above $150.00 at Centerpoint Shopping Centre and she was given this Makeover card for kids and a Disney Umbrella then she gave me the card and asked me to bring my niece there (don't waste it) so I took a days' leave to bring her there.

My mother came along to see how her beautiful grand daughter can transform into a Cartoon Character Little Princess.

We were there as early as we are the first one to get her change & makeup & hair-do.

When the moment she put on the costume of "Bella" from "Beauty & The Beast" she smile so sweetly and looked into the mirror.

Then wait for her turn to do makeup & hair-do (will show pic when is ready)
Isabel had her first makeup & hair-do session & also her first makeover in life.

They even have clip earring & ring, a Fairy Wand & Tiaras Crown

And something that we all can't see from the picture - Belle Princess Shoes!

The moment is here.... She's now the Beautiful Isabel "Bella" Princess

This is the only photo with smile on her face! Me & my mother had a hard time make her "squeeze" out that little bit of smile. Not sure is it too nervous or maybe the clip earring is painful... well she didn't complain.

5 photos are taken by the staff and we get to take home 1 FOC of the 'best' picture and if you want the rest of it, it will be charge $5 each.

But luckily I've my own camera, so still have more to see when its develop.

Wait till then ...

New Pet

My girlfriend just bought a new puppy few weeks ago.

A female West Highland Terrier, 3 months old, white fur.

She named her CHANEL

She got her in one of the pet shop along Thomson Road. At the petshop this dog looks very healthy and active but the minute she put her into the car and problem starts.

The poor dog starts to cough and kept having running nose but still very active, so my friend ended up whole night didn't sleep well. Then next morning brought the puppy to see a vet, costed her $88 !!

She called and complaint to the pet shop, asking them "Why did you people sell me a sick dog" but the petshop guy replied "when this puppy in my shop she's ok you know, don't have any running nose and not a single cough." "It's not our problem once you take the dog home and responsible is yours."

My friend was soooo angry with them but can't do anything, just hope the puppy recover fast.

Inhalant allergies

Allergens are substances in the environment that cause the immune system to react as if invaded by a foreign body. If all dogs reacted to these substances, they would not be allergens, they would be toxins.

These allergens cause mast cells in the skin and basophils (specialized white blood cells) in the blood to release antibodies that contain histamines, serotonin, and leukotrienes. These antibodies are responsible for allergy symptoms.

Some inhalant allergies are seasonal. Dogs may be affected by inhaling grass pollen in spring and summer or ragweed pollen in late summer and early autumn. If this is the case, the dog will start to scratch and bite his body, lick his paws, shake his head, and rub his face along the carpet for relief from the itch when pollen grains are swirling in the air.

However, many dogs suffering from allergies itch somewhat year-round because they are also affected by household dust, mold spores, and other irritants.

Treatment for inhalant allergies ranges from keeping Lassie comfortable with cool baths in shampoos or rinses containing aloe vera, oatmeal, or eucalyptus to drug therapy to interrupt the itch cycle until the skin can be healed and the allergen has (hopefully) diminished.

Inclusion of Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids in the diet can also help keep skin supple and healthy. Many dog food companies add these fatty acids to their premium foods. Supplements such as Missing Link provide not only the Omega oils but also a balance of vitamins and minerals necessary for good skin and coat health.

Environmental controls include frequent vacuuming and dusting of the areas where the dog spends time and keeping his bedding dust-free.

Some dogs may get relief from antihistamines such as diphenhydramine (Benadryl), clemastine (Tavist) or chlorapheniramine (Chlortrimetron), but owners should ask their veterinarian for proper dosage for their pet and may have to try more than one before finding the formula that helps.

Steroids such as prednisone interfere with the immune system function so that the body no longer considers the allergens to be invaders. Steroids should be used carefully and sparingly as they may cause liver problems and, in older dogs, can trigger a form of Cushing disease. Steroids also increase appetite and thirst, cause more frequent urination, and can increase aggression in some dogs. However, small doses of predisone can be invaluable in treating a dog with chronic or acute allergic reactions when all else fails.

Dogs with allergies can scratch and bite themselves into skin infections that need treatment with antibiotics. Prednisone is often prescribed for these dogs to get the itching under control while the antibiotic deals with the bacterial infection.
